CJ Group announced on the 22nd that it will donate 500 million won to support disaster victims struggling due to nationwide heavy rain.
The relief fund will be delivered through the Korea Disaster Relief Association and will be used for recovery in flood-affected areas, providing relief supplies to disaster victims, and supporting emergency housing facilities.
Affiliated companies have also started to provide relief supplies. CJ CheilJedang plans to support emergency relief supplies consisting of over 10,000 products, including home meal replacements (HMR) such as Heat & Eat rice and Bibigo soup dishes, as well as snacks like chestnuts.
CJ Foodville also urgently delivered 7,600 items of Tous les Jours bread and beverages to areas severely affected by heavy rain, including Dangjin City, Asan City, Yesan County, and Sancheong County in South Gyeongsang Province, starting from the 18th.
