Dongwon F&B announced on the 22nd that it has selected global star BTS member Jin as the brand model for 'Dongwon Tuna' canned tuna.
The selection of Jin as the model is believed to have been influenced by the solo song 'Super Tuna' he released in 2021. Jin created the song based on his experience of catching tuna while enjoying fishing. At that time, the video of the song surpassed 100 million views on YouTube and received a lot of love worldwide.
Dongwon F&B plans to kick off its marketing activities by releasing a teaser video at 12 p.m. on the same day. The teaser video will feature the song 'Super Tuna.' Additionally, the main advertisement will be released on the 27th, and weekly YouTube shorts will be posted in August. They plan to carry out various marketing activities, including selling a 'BTS Jin Edition' consisting of tuna cans with photos of the model Jin and stickers.
A representative from Dongwon F&B noted, "We expect the healthy image of the high-protein 'Dongwon Tuna' to be well communicated to consumers through our beloved model Jin, who is known for his unique bright energy," and added, "We will promote Dongwon Tuna, the representative canned tuna of Korea, to global consumers alongside the world-class artist Jin."
