On the 22nd, Hyundai Department Store Group announced that it will donate 300 million won to the Korea Disaster Relief Association to support recovery efforts in areas affected by record heavy rain across the country. The donated funds are expected to be used for providing essential goods to disaster victims and operating evacuation facilities.
In addition, Hyundai Department Store Group plans to make a further donation through a fundraising campaign involving customers and employees. Until the 31st, the group will conduct a 'Disaster Relief Neighbor Helping Point Donation Matching Campaign' in the integrated membership H Point app, where Hyundai Department Store will match the amount of H Points donated by customers and contribute the total to the Korea Disaster Relief Association.
Hyundai Department Store Group previously donated a total of 400 million won in relief funds to the Korea Disaster Relief Association to support recovery efforts in regions affected by large wildfires in March, including Uiseong in North Gyeongsang Province, Sancheong in South Gyeongsang Province, and Ulju in Ulsan.
A representative from Hyundai Department Store Group noted, "We extend our deepest condolences to the disaster victims affected by the sudden heavy rain," and added, "We hope this will help in the swift recovery of damage and the daily lives of the victims."
