The Jeonnam Bioindustry Promotion Agency's Marine Bio Research Center announced on the 21st that it has launched the marine bio cosmetics brand "CHOISCHOICE LAB."
"CHOISCHOICE LAB" was developed after several years of research at the Jeonnam Bioindustry Promotion Agency's Marine Bio Research Center. It creates functional cosmetics using kelp and abalone, which are grown in the pristine waters of Wando, Jeollanam-do.
Abalone contains highly concentrated proteins that help improve skin vitality and provide nutrition. Additionally, the hyaluronic acid and ceramides contained in abalone form a moisturizing barrier on the skin to retain moisture. Furthermore, it was reported that "CHOISCHOICE LAB" is manufactured to be slightly acidic by combining 26 skincare ingredients.
Since 2021, the Jeonnam Bioindustry Promotion Agency's Marine Bio Research Center has established a joint production facility for cosmetics to produce cosmetic prototypes, and has introduced equipment to support quality control. In 2022, it received the International Standard Certification (ISO 22716) for cosmetics from a global standard certifying organization.
Products from "CHOISCHOICE LAB" are currently available at duty-free shops in the Busan area. It is also focusing on securing distribution networks through collaborations with specialized channels such as dermatology and plastic surgery. A representative from "CHOISCHOICE LAB" noted, "We will continue to make efforts in developing sustainable cosmetics utilizing marine bio resources."
