Dr.Chung's Food announced on the 21st that its central research institute was selected as an excellent testing organization by the Korean Organization for Standardization (KOLAS) at the '2025 World Recognition Day' ceremony hosted by the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy.
According to Dr.Chung's Food, its central research institute simultaneously won the Minister's Award from the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy in the institutional sector and the Award from the Director of the Korean Agency for Technology and Standards at the ceremony held on the 17th at the Eliena Hotel in Gangnam, Seoul.
The Korean Organization for Standardization (KOLAS) is an accreditation organization under the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy and the Korean Agency for Technology and Standards. It evaluates the organization, resources, processes, and quality systems of testing institutions according to relevant laws and the standards of the International Organization for Standardization (ISO/IEC) and grants public credibility.
Dr.Chung's Food's central research institute received recognition for food and microbiological testing from the Korean Organization for Standardization in 2003. This year, it was recognized for its contribution to enhancing food safety and quality competitiveness through highly reliable testing and analysis capabilities. The individual award winner is Chief Researcher Choi Jae-kwon.
Lee Yoon-bok, the head of Dr.Chung's Food's central research institute, said, "We will continue to enhance our capabilities steadily to become a representative food company in Korea recognized in the global market."
