Lotte Mart announced on the 20th that it opened a toy specialty store, 'Toys R Us Gwangmyeong,' on the second floor of Lotte Mall Gwangmyeong in Iljik-dong, Gwangmyeong City, Gyeonggi Province, on the 17th.
Toys R Us is a global toy brand operating over 1,400 stores in 32 countries. Since introducing its first store in Korea in 2007, Lotte Mart has operated a total of 43 stores to date.
Toys R Us Gwangmyeong focuses on experiential content with the concept of a 'play hub.' It features popular brand zones in a shop-in-shop format, including 'Catch! Teenieping Brand Shop,' 'Nintendo Shop,' and 'Bandai Shop.'
'Catch! Teenieping Brand Shop' is decorated with character artwork. It showcases various Teenieping-related products, including toys and fancy goods, featuring new items. The Lego Shop has prepared a variety of products that can be enjoyed by all age groups. The Bandai Shop offers over 100 products, including Gunpla and popular Japanese animation figures for kidult customers.
The Gwangmyeong store has introduced an interactive experience content called 'Live Sketch.' The pictures colored by customers come to life on a large screen, providing a unique experience that combines play and art. Additionally, on weekends, a board game experience zone is also operated for families to enjoy together.
