The distribution industry has stepped in to support those affected by the heavy rainfall.
On the 20th, SPC Group announced that it will provide an additional 4,000 relief supplies, including 2,000 loaves of bread and 2,000 bottles of water, to the Sangcheong area of Gyeongnam, which has been affected by heavy rainfall. SPC Group also delivered around 10,000 relief supplies to the Chungcheong and Honam areas on the 18th.
The relief supplies are expected to be used for disaster victims and relief workers who are suffering from the flood damage. SPC Group plans to provide additional support to other areas in need in consultation with the Korean Red Cross.
A representative from SPC Group noted, "We supported relief supplies to the areas affected by the heavy rain at the request of the Korean Red Cross. We hope this can be a little help to the disaster victims, and we wish for a swift recovery from the damage."

When consumers donate their earned H points from Hyundai Department Store Group affiliates to help flood victims, Hyundai Department Store will match the same amount and deliver it to the Hope Bridge National Disaster Relief Association.
Yang Myeong-seong, senior executive in charge of sales strategy at Hyundai Department Store, said, "I hope the local communities and residents affected by the unprecedented heavy rainfall can quickly return to their daily lives."
GS Retail delivered emergency relief supplies to disaster victims in Gwangju and the counties of Gokseong and Naju in Jeollanam-do. The relief supplies consist of over 4,000 items including bottled water and snacks. BGF Retail, which operates the CU convenience stores, urgently delivered 13 types of food and beverages, including bottled water, ramen, chocolate bars, and canned coffee, to Asan, Dangjin, and Yesan in Chungcheongnam-do.
