On the 16th, the local live community carrot announced that it has unveiled a campaign video containing its corporate vision and brand slogan to mark its 10th anniversary.
The new vision phrase is, "Connecting everything local, awakening the hidden values of neighborhoods." It embodies carrot's identity, which has connected various aspects of neighborhood life—beyond used transactions—such as community, gatherings, business, job searching, and real estate—on a single platform.
A 10th anniversary commemorative video was also released. The video showcases various moments of connecting with neighbors through used transactions, gatherings, and job searches, centered around the brand slogan, "Opening the door to the neighborhood." It visualizes that carrot's core role is to help people discover opportunities and information in their neighborhoods, expand their businesses, and connect within their networks by continuously opening doors.
Through this, it conveys the message that carrot is not just an application for exchanging local information, but a platform that creates moments when someone "opens the door and steps outside." The video can be viewed on carrot's official website and social media channels.
Carrot CEO Hwang Do-yeon said, "The past 10 years have been a time of challenging the difficult path of 'local,' building trust with neighbors, enhancing user experience, and creating warm connections one by one," adding, "These connections are rekindling the value of the community and expanding into a larger movement where people discover opportunities and form connections within their neighborhoods."
He further noted, "The next 10 years will also be a time for carrot to become the 'door' that opens between neighborhoods and people, creating deeper connections in local life."
Carrot started services in July 2015 under the name "Pangyo Market" and rebranded to "carrot market," a shortened form of "market near you," in October of the same year. After transitioning to a nationwide service in 2018, it has introduced services such as 'neighborhood life,' where neighbors share information beyond used transactions, 'carrot gatherings,' which connect neighbors based on interests, 'business profiles' that link local stores, and the job search service 'carrot part-time jobs.'
