Emart announced on the 10th that it will introduce premium Chinese restorative dishes such as buldojang, jeongabok, and sanratang at around 10,000 won as it prepares for the start of the summer heat on the 20th.
Emart will launch three types of Chinese dishes: "Buldojang WITH 이금기 (13,980 won)," "Jeongabok WITH 이금기 (13,980 won)," and "Sanratang WITH 이금기 (9,980 won)." The prices are one-fifth of those at traditional Chinese restaurants.
Buldojang is a traditional Chinese soup made by adding various ingredients, including fresh abalone from Wando, pine mushrooms, and bamboo shoots, to a broth flavored with Shaoxing wine, a Chinese alcoholic beverage. Jeongabok is a dish served on a Chinese banquet table, while sanratang (xuanlatang) is a spicy and sour dish from Sichuan cuisine.
Chef Ham Dong-woo, who is from the Chinese restaurant at the Chosun Hotel, participated in the recipe development. It is explained that the dish achieved a familiar yet reliable taste using oyster sauce from the global sauce brand "이금기." The recipe has been developed to be simple enough to heat in a microwave for 3 to 4 minutes at home.
Emart will also offer discounts on restorative foods traditionally rich in nourishment, such as ginseng chicken soup, eel, and abalone. From the 11th to the 16th, checking the "Buyer's Magazine" on the Emart app will allow customers to receive a 10% discount coupon available for use on "Peacock Abalone Chicken Soup (900g/11,980 won)," "Peacock Whole Chicken Leg Nureungji Soup (580g/6,480 won)," and "Bibigo Perilla Nureungji Chicken Soup (850g/10,980 won)." Additionally, for the "Peacock Abalone Chicken Soup" and "Peacock Whole Chicken Leg Nureungji Soup," a buy-one-get-one-free promotion will be offered when purchasing two, valid until July 16 (Friday).
The Emart app's direct delivery service "Order to Home" will also provide discounts on food items for the start of summer heat. Discounts of up to 20% will be available when paying the full amount with a KARD for ingredients such as ginseng for chicken soup, materials for ginseng chicken soup, Korean beef brisket (domestic, 2kg), 1.4kg of domestic abalone (large/special large), freshwater eel, and wild sea eel.
