The LOTTE Group announced on the 8th that it will hold the '2025 second half LOTTE VCM' (Value Creation Meeting, formerly the presidents' meeting) at the LOTTE Talent Development Institute in Osan, Gyeonggi Province, on the 16th and 17th.
The meeting of presidents from LOTTE affiliates is held twice each year, in the first and second halves. Previously, the meetings were conducted in the afternoon at places like the LOTTE Hotel World in Jamsil, but this time, it has been expanded to a two-day event.
About 80 people will gather, including Shin Dong-bin, chairman of LOTTE, representatives from LOTTE Corporation, heads of business units, and executives from affiliates.
During the second half VCM, it is customary to review the management results from the first half and share management policies for achieving goals in the second half.
In the second half VCM last year, heads of various business units such as food, retail, and chemicals presented a strategy to strengthen operational capabilities to restore their 'leading position.'
It is said that LOTTE has extended this presidents' meeting to two days and one night due to the greater-than-ever uncertainty in the external business environment and the need for extensive discussions to enhance core competitiveness.
Chairman Shin emphasized during this year's first half VCM, held on Jan. 9, that 'now is the last opportunity for change, and we must turn this crisis into a significant innovation.'
He also urged the presidents to utilize the group's assets efficiently through 'selection and concentration' during difficult times to overcome the current challenges.
