LOTTE Group announced that Chairman Shin Dong-bin awarded the trophy to the winner of the 15th LOTTE Open, Park Hye-jun (22), on the 6th.
On this day, Chairman Shin visited the Bears Best Cheongna Golf Club in Incheon, where the match was held, toured the Gallery Plaza and LOTTE Pleasure Hall, and participated in the award ceremony. This was the third time Chairman Shin visited the LOTTE Open after the event started in 2021, following visits in 2022 and 2023.
LOTTE elevated the competition, which was conducted as the 'LOTTE Cantata Women's Open' until 2020, to a group-level event and renamed it the 'KLPGA LOTTE Open' starting in 2021.
Chairman Shin also visited the Gallery Plaza, which is being developed on a large scale, to look over various brands of the group. LOTTE Wellfood, LOTTE Chilsung Beverage, Canon Korea, and LOTTE Home Shopping participated in the Gallery Plaza, showcasing popular products such as cloud draft beer, World Cone, and range finders, and providing opportunities for visitors to experience them.
Chairman Shin also visited the signature 'LOTTE Pleasure Hall' of the LOTTE Open to cheer for the players. The LOTTE Pleasure Hall is a space created to support the players in an exciting atmosphere with lively music. This year, a performance by a professional DJ added to the enjoyment for the spectators who came to the stadium.
LOTTE is the only company in Korea to host tournaments on the two major tours, KLPGA and LPGA (Ladies Professional Golf Association), and is committed to discovering promising players and nurturing athletes. Players affiliated with the LOTTE Golf Team include Kim Hyo-joo and Choi Hye-jin, who are active on the LPGA stage, as well as Lee So-young and Hwang Yu-min, who compete in the KLPGA. Together, these players have achieved a total of 44 tournament victories both domestically and internationally.
In the KLPGA Golf Club Championship, now in its fourth year, LOTTE has secured victories every year from 2023 to the present, except for the first year.
