Seo Ho-jeong, the second daughter of Seo Kyung-bae, chairman of Amorepacific Corporation, has joined the group's subsidiary, O'sulloc.
According to industry sources on the 3rd, Ho-jeong joined the product development team of Amorepacific Holdings' subsidiary, O'sulloc, as a new employee on the 1st of this month and is currently working there. She is reported to be responsible for product development and marketing at O'sulloc.
Born in 1995, Ho-jeong graduated from Cornell University's School of Hotel Administration in 2018.
With the eldest daughter, Seo Min-jeong, who has been regarded as a strong successor, on leave since July 2023, attention in the industry is now focused on the second daughter, Ho-jeong, as she embarks on her management training.
Born in 1991, the eldest daughter, Min-jeong, graduated from Cornell University with a degree in economics and joined Amorepacific Corporation's beauty sales strategy team in 2019 after working at Bain & Company. Since January 2022, she has been working in the luxury brand division's AP team, handling luxury brand marketing.
Min-jeong married Hong Jung-hwan, the eldest son of Hong Seok-jun, chairman of Hongkwang Investment, a prominent Samsung family, in 2020 but divorced after eight months. She has been on leave since July 2023.
In May 2023, Chairman Seo gifted Ho-jeong 672,000 common shares and 1.728 million preferred shares of Amorepacific Holdings. Currently, Ho-jeong owns 2.55% equity, while Min-jeong holds 2.75% equity.
An official from AMOREPACIFIC Group stated that they do not know when Min-jeong will return.
