Pernod Ricard Korea, the Korean subsidiary of the Pernod Ricard Group, announced on the 30th that the Midleton Distillery has been named the world's best international distillery at the 2025 San Francisco World Spirits Competition (SFWSC).
According to Pernod Ricard Korea, the Midleton Distillery in County Cork, Ireland, produces the world's best-selling Irish whiskey brand, "Jameson," as well as the single pot still whiskey "Redbreast." The Midleton Distillery achieved an unprecedented accomplishment at the competition, winning a total of 41 medals, including 21 Double Gold, 10 Gold, 9 Platinum, and 9 Best of Class Finalist, earning the title of "Most Awarded International Distillery."
This year marks the 200th anniversary of the Midleton Distillery. Nodjame Fouad, CEO of Irish Distillers, said, "It is an honor to be recognized as the 'most awarded international distillery' at the world's most influential distillery competition, receiving the most awards. This is evidence of the passion, innovation, and craftsmanship of the Midleton Distillery team, who have been with us from the past to the present."
