Comprehensive food company OURHOME said on the 28th that it has signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with Samyang Foods to promote the future development of food culture. It appears that OURHOME, acquired by Hanwha Group, is seeking to strengthen its competitiveness in the group meal service business and explore new businesses.
According to OURHOME, the agreement was arranged to strengthen cooperation by combining OURHOME's menu development capabilities with Samyang Foods' products and brand preference to provide new gourmet experiences to corporate cafeteria customers. The signing ceremony was attended by Yang Jeong-ik, head of OURHOME's group meal service (MCP) business division, and Kim Yong-ho, head of Samyang Foods' Korea headquarters.
Samyang Foods is a leading food company that led the global K ramyeon craze with Buldak spicy ramyeon. OURHOME plans to differentiate its corporate cafeteria menus based on Samyang Foods' popular products and brand influence.
The two companies plan to continue cooperating across the full range of "Ohmazing recipe" marketing activities, including developing collaborative menus using Samyang Foods' popular products, setting up event booths, and giving away goods. Ohmazing recipe is a distinctive corporate cafeteria menu and participatory event that OURHOME showcases through collaboration with companies in the same or different industries.
A Samyang Foods spokesperson said, "We expect to offer customers a different kind of enjoyment with corporate cafeteria menus that reinterpret Samyang Foods' popular products," and added, "Through collaboration with OURHOME, we will convey new brand value and expand touchpoints with consumers."
OURHOME also plans to focus on innovating food culture and enhancing customer experience through this agreement. An OURHOME spokesperson said, "We will continue to communicate with customers and showcase diverse food cultures through collaboration with chefs, influencers and food brands."
