It has been confirmed that Binggrae and Maeil Dairies have suspended product supply to Homeplus, which is currently undergoing restructuring procedures (court receivership).
According to the distribution industry on the 27th, Binggrae stopped delivering products to Homeplus from the 24th. Maeil Dairies also halted the supply of some refrigerated products, with fresh milk being a representative example.
A representative from Binggrae said, 'There is a disagreement regarding transaction conditions, and discussions are ongoing for the resumption of transactions.'
Products with short shelf lives, such as fresh milk, have had their supply halted, while sterilized milk, powdered milk, and soy milk are being delivered normally. A representative from Homeplus noted, 'We are continuing negotiations to normalize transactions.'
Previously, Homeplus experienced supply halts from major food corporations following the commencement of court receivership procedures in March.
