Paik Jong-won, the representative of Theborn Korea, announced on the 27th that the coffee brand Baekdabang will hold a relay discount event until the 12th of next month. This relay discount promotion is part of a 30 billion won worth support plan announced by Theborn Korea. The headquarters will fully cover the discount and promotional expenses.
According to Theborn Korea, this promotion was planned to increase the sales of Baekdabang franchise stores. Previously, amid various controversies surrounding Theborn Korea, including the price dispute of Baekham, mislabeling of origin, and the use of pesticide sprayers, Baekdabang franchise stores have been experiencing poor sales.
This promotion will be conducted in three phases targeting store visitors. From today until the 2nd of next month, the popular menu item 'A Shot Chu (add ice tea shot)' will be discounted by 1,000 won. From the 5th to the 7th of next month, iced cafe latte will be sold for 1,000 won, and from the 10th to the 12th of next month, Americano will be offered at a discount price of 500 won.
However, considering that people will flock for the iced cafe latte and Americano discount promotions, the large-sized 'Baek Size' will not be applicable, and options such as additional items or menu changes will not be allowed. This promotion will be conducted at all Baekdabang stores nationwide, excluding some locations.
A Baekdabang official noted, 'This is a promotion carried out by the headquarters covering all expenses to significantly increase the sales of franchise stores,' adding that 'we will continue to build a win-win model that satisfies both customers and franchisees and sustain efforts for mutual growth.'
