SSG.com announced on the 1st that its non-food sales during the one-month guaranteed delivery service 'Star Delivery' period from March 27 to April 26 increased by 50% compared to the previous month (February 24 to March 26).
'Star Delivery' is a service aimed at achieving 100% delivery on the promised date. Except for some areas, orders placed by 11 p.m. can be received the next day. Free delivery is available for purchases over 20,000 won. Notably, if a product is not received on the scheduled delivery date, 1,000 won in SSG money will be automatically granted.
According to SSG.com, 'Star Delivery' accounts for 78% of non-food sales and is effectively complementing the shopping delivery services 'Ssg Weekly Delivery' and 'Ssg Early Morning Delivery.' The sales ratio by major category was as follows: ▲daily necessities (17%) ▲baby and children (15%) ▲digital electronics (13%) ▲pets (10%) ▲beauty (10%) ▲living (8%) ▲sports and leisure (5%).
Looking at the growth rate by category, sports and leisure showed an overwhelming growth rate of 256%. Following that, baby and children grew by 121%. Digital electronics increased by 48%, followed by daily necessities (43%), living (35%), and pets (30%).
SSG.com plans to expand 'Star Delivery' to include products from partner companies in the second half of this year in collaboration with CJ Logistics. Additionally, the official introduction of the seven-day delivery service, which began trial operations on the 13th, will also be reviewed.
