On the 25th, ORION announced that it has proclaimed a 'Global Ethical Code' that meets global standards to ensure continuous growth and social responsibility as a global corporation on the 10th anniversary of the introduction of ethical management.
According to ORION, the 10th anniversary event for ethical management was held on the 24th at the 916 Building in Gangnam, Seoul. Employees from major affiliates in Korea, including ORION, ORION Jeju Lava Water, SHOWBOX, and LigaChem Biosciences, along with over 10,000 employees from across the group in China, Vietnam, Russia, and India, gathered online to share their commitment to the newly established Global Ethical Code.
ORION's Global Ethical Code is a global standard management policy that all employees of its subsidiaries in Korea, China, Vietnam, Russia, and India, which have different regions, languages, and cultures, can understand and practice based on the ethical management continued over the past 10 years.
ORION proclaimed the slogan for global ethical management as 'Right Way, Better Life, Better Future.' Additionally, it established three core practical guidelines and ten detailed practical guidelines for this purpose.
The core practical guidelines are set as 'Do the Right Thing & Be the Best, Make Life Better, Move Forward Together.' The detailed practical guidelines include ▲ Compliance with global laws ▲ Transparency and honesty ▲ Rational business processing ▲ Respect for stakeholders ▲ A responsible attitude as basic ethics. The guidelines for each stakeholder include ▲ Creating customer value ▲ Co-growth with business partners ▲ Increasing shareholder value ▲ Responsibility for society and the environment ▲ Valuing employees.
During the event, Heo In-cheol, vice chairman of ORION, Lee Seung-jun, CEO of ORION Korea, Shin Ho-jung, CEO of SHOWBOX, and Park Se-jin, CEO of LigaChem Biosciences, signed a commitment to actively participate in global ethical management. Together with employees attending both online and offline, they proclaimed the Global Ethical Code and declared their intention to continue the ethical management of the past 10 years while fulfilling their responsibilities for healthy growth and social responsibility.
An official from ORION said, 'Over the past 10 years, we have steadily pursued ethical management based on compliance and ethics, continuing healthy growth,' and added, 'We will establish ethical norms at a global standard level and ensure that all employees of the group practice them to pursue sustainable growth as a global corporation.'
