SSG.com announced on the 23rd that it is expanding its "Ssg Morning Delivery" service area to Ulsan, making it available in six metropolitan cities nationwide. Starting from the 25th, SSG.com will sequentially begin morning delivery services in Jeonju, Jeollabuk-do, and in Iksan and Gunsan starting from the 1st of next month.
Customers in the area can receive their grocery items if they order by 10 p.m. the previous night and receive them by 7 a.m. the following day. Most fresh food items are covered by the "Freshness Guarantee System," which allows customers to easily get a refund if they determine that the delivered items are not fresh.
According to SSG.com, it expanded its morning delivery service area to metropolitan cities nationwide within five months, starting from the Chungcheong region, including Daejeon and Sejong, last December. This expansion was greatly supported by the extensive logistics infrastructure covering a total area of 11.3 million square meters owned by CJ Logistics. SSG.com is reviewing further expansion of the morning delivery service in collaboration with CJ Logistics and plans to extend the arrival guarantee service "Star Delivery," centered on non-grocery items, to products from partner companies.
According to SSG.com, as of March this year, the total number of morning delivery orders increased by 53% compared to the same period last year. This is a result of steadily increasing usage of morning delivery services in newly entered regions. The share of sales from the livestock category in morning delivery sales was 13%, fruits accounted for 12%, and vegetables made up 10%. The proportion of sales from convenient foods was 18%, with SSG's house brands, including Peacock and NOBLAND, performing particularly well. Sales of non-grocery product categories, excluding food and daily necessities, also experienced a 78% increase.
SSG.com plans to introduce 10 types of morning delivery products at half price to customers in Ulsan, Jeonju, and Iksan regions on a weekly basis until the end of July, depending on the area. Additionally, unlimited free shipping coupons will be issued for purchases over 20,000 won, and a 10,000 won shopping cart coupon will be provided for purchases over 40,000 won. If the ordered products arrive late, a refund of up to 100,000 won will be given back in SSG Money.
