Starbucks Korea announced on the 22nd that it will operate "One More Coffee" as an official program. One More Coffee is a program that offers a cup of coffee at a 60% discounted price when coffee customers want a little more coffee, which was piloted for about two months starting in February for Starbucks Rewards Gold members.
According to Starbucks Korea, the participation rate for One More Coffee during the pilot period reached 60%. In fact, more than half of the customers who purchased the coffee eligible for the program among Gold members returned to the store to use the coupon.
Starbucks Korea decided to expand the benefits that were previously offered only to Gold members to all members due to the positive customer response and ongoing requests for regular operation. Additionally, reflecting the demand for decaffeinated coffee, the selection of beverages eligible for coupons has been expanded from 2 to 4 types.
The One More Coffee program, which is set to operate regularly, will be available to all Starbucks Rewards members starting from the 23rd. When members order one of the 4 eligible beverages, such as tall size or larger café Americano, café latte, today's coffee, or iced coffee, using the Starbucks card or account payment registered in the Starbucks app, they can use a 60% discount coupon for today's coffee, iced coffee, decaffeinated café Americano, or half decaffeinated café Americano after 30 minutes from the order. This allows them to enjoy today's coffee at 1,800 won for a tall size (355ml) and decaffeinated café Americano at 2,000 won.
The convenience of coupon issuance has also been improved. Previously, customers had to download the One More Coffee coupon directly from the app, but now it will be automatically issued immediately upon ordering an eligible beverage. Coupons can be used in other stores, including the first store where they made their initial order, starting 30 minutes after issuance. Notably, since it is provided once per day, it can be used until the issuance date.
In addition, Starbucks Korea plans to offer a discount coupon for Starbucks Rewards members to enjoy the eligible beverage at the tall size price when ordering a venti size (591ml) from the 24th to 27th to commemorate the regular operation of the One More Coffee program.
