On the 20th, Gmarket, an e-commerce platform under Shinsegae Group, announced that it will introduce the 'Seller Star Delivery' service for general open market sellers.
Star Delivery is a service that guarantees delivery on the promised date to customers who purchased the items, with a target of 100% arrival assurance. Deliveries will be managed by CJ Logistics.
The Seller Star Delivery service expands its reach beyond sellers who have stocked products at the Dongtan Mega Center operated by Gmarket to include brand companies and small and medium-sized enterprises using individual logistics warehouses.
Gmarket expects that sellers can enhance the delivery competitiveness of their products to increase sales and that consumers will experience higher shopping satisfaction as the number of Star Delivery products, which ensure arrival dates, rises.
Any seller registered on Gmarket or Auction can apply for the Seller Star Delivery service.
Gmarket noted that it has secured over 400 major brand manufacturers as customers through prior sales efforts, including Samsung Electronics, Yuhan Kimberly, Cuckoo, Bebe Forest, Amante, and DUOBACK.
Gmarket plans to open a dedicated Star Delivery section in the future to enhance customer accessibility and product visibility.
