Zennihon Liquor's imported Japanese soju "Aka Kirishima" won the grand award at the 2025 Korea Wine & Spirits Awards.
The Korea Wine & Spirits Awards is the representative liquor tasting event of South Korea, now in its 12th year. Organized by ChosunBiz since 2014, it aims to "discover and promote good domestic alcohol and support the formation of a healthy liquor culture."
This year's event featured 236 companies showcasing a total of 1,008 brands, making it the largest domestic tasting event dealing with comprehensive liquors. Among them, 431 brands received the grand award.
Aka Kirishima is a premium soju characterized by the harmony of traditional Japanese soju brewing techniques and modern sensibilities, featuring a smooth taste and deep aroma.
A spokesperson for Zennihon Liquor noted, "We will continue to discover outstanding liquors from around the world and introduce them to domestic consumers, striving to meet the changing market and customer demands."
