Theborn Korea, led by CEO Baek Jong-won, is embarking on a comprehensive revitalization of its organizational culture and overall work system.

On the 15th, Theborn Korea released an official statement regarding recent controversies involving inappropriate employee behavior and hygiene issues, stating, “We feel a heavy sense of responsibility for a series of matters,” and noted, “We are in the process of implementing fundamental reforms across our internal systems and external operations.”

Theborn Korea promised, “We will achieve a rigorous organizational and operational innovation to fully restore customer trust.”

Theborn Korea will establish a dedicated organization for internal audits and risk management directly under CEO Baek Jong-won to enhance monitoring of internal activities. It will also implement employee training for organizational culture improvement and measures to raise accountability. Additionally, plans are in place to form a separate public relations team to handle communication with external parties.

Regarding a staff member associated with a regional project who caused issues due to inappropriate interview practices, it was noted, “The concerned employee has been immediately removed from their duties,” and added, “We will take strict measures based on the results of the investigation by the Ministry of Employment and Labor.”

A comprehensive reorganization will also be conducted in the institutional sector of food hygiene. Theborn Korea has already activated a dedicated department for food safety and quality management following the hygiene controversy. Theborn Korea explained that they are currently reinforcing their operations by employing external experts to evaluate the entire cooking and distribution process from the ground up. In particular, they plan to enhance hygiene standards at festival sites by improving refrigerated and frozen transportation and storage facilities.

Theborn Korea stated, “Beyond apologies and clarifications, we will fulfill our responsibilities as a publicly listed company and continue to innovate to regain trust,” adding, “We will thoroughly improve upon all matters that have been raised.”
