
The number of users of the mobile application (app) for CJ Olive Young and Asung Daiso set a new record last month.
The app and retail analytics service Wise App Retail noted on the 15th that the number of users for Olive Young's app reached 8.8 million, a 37% increase compared to the same month last year, marking a record high.
The number of users for the Daiso Mall app was 4.05 million, an increase of 89% compared to the same month last year, setting an all-time high.
Wise App Retail estimated this based on a sample survey of Korean Android and iOS smartphone users.
Olive Young and Daiso are strengthening their presence in the online market by increasing the number of stores, allowing orders through the app for in-store pickup and fast delivery services.
Olive Young's revenue last year was 4.7899 trillion won, a 24% increase from the previous year. Daiso's revenue last year was 3.9689 trillion won, up approximately 15%.
