The traditional liquor company, Agriculture Corporation Limited SolSongJu, located in Hamyang, Gyeongnam, received the grand award in the liquor category at the 2025 Korea Wine & Spirits Awards for its DamSol 40°. DamSol has won the award three times, following its victories in 2016 and 2023.

The Korea Wine & Spirits Awards is the leading liquor appraisal event in South Korea, now in its 12th year. Organized annually by ChosunBiz since 2014, its goal is to discover and widely promote outstanding domestic liquors while supporting the formation of a healthy drinking culture.

This year's event saw 236 companies submit a total of 1,008 brands, making it the largest domestic appraisal event for comprehensive liquors. Of these, 431 brands received the Daesang.

DamSol means 'to contain pine' and 'to contain the Soul.' It is distilled from 'SolSongJu,' made by fermenting rice and pine needles, and matured through low-temperature airtight aging with honey. The 40-degree liqueur offers a subtle aroma of pine needles and a non-stimulating sweetness. The finish is also smooth.

Agriculture Corporation Limited SolSongJu established its distillery based on the traditional liquor of the Hahdong Jeong family in Hamyang, Gyeongnam. Its representative liquor, SolSongJu, won the award in the institutional sector at the 2014 and 2015 Korea Wine & Spirits Awards.
