An accident occurred at OURHOME's factory where an employee's neck became caught in a machine that was in operation.
According to OURHOME and others on the 7th, at 11 a.m. on the 4th, a 30-year-old male employee identified as A was involved in an accident at the OURHOME fish cake manufacturing plant located in Cheoin-gu, Yongin, where his neck became caught in a fish cake cooling machine. A was transported to the hospital in a state of cardiac arrest and is currently receiving treatment.
In response, OURHOME, in a statement from President Lee Yong-pyo, noted, "The company is actively cooperating with investigations by relevant agencies such as the police and Ministry of Employment and Labor, and is committed to supporting the injured employee and their family, as well as identifying the exact cause of the accident and preventing its recurrence."
He continued, "Regardless of the reasons, we will thoroughly inspect the safety management systems of all company operations to ensure that such incidents do not occur again and will strengthen the overall safety management system."
The police and Ministry of Employment and Labor have reportedly completed an initial investigation concerning the exact sequence of events of the accident, compliance with safety regulations, and the condition of machine safety management.
OURHOME plans to announce its position, including apologies and support measures, after the results of the authorities' investigation regarding the exact circumstances of the accident are released.
