The Korea Wine & Spirits Awards is the representative liquor evaluation event in South Korea, marking its 12th year this year. ChosunBiz has been hosting the event annually since 2014 with the aim of 'discovering good domestic liquor, promoting it widely, and supporting the formation of a healthy liquor culture.'

This year’s event featured 236 companies showcasing a total of 1,008 brands, making it the largest domestic evaluation event dealing with comprehensive liquor. Among these, 431 brands received the grand award.

Zhuge Liang is a fragrant white liquor, meaning ‘the liquor made by the chancellor Zhi Ge Liang of the Shu Kingdom (Sichuan),’ and is brewed using the traditional brewing techniques of the intangible cultural asset, Jiang Gu Sun, from Sichuan province, along with the pure grains from the well-known liquor region of Sichuan. It particularly features a deep and elegant taste and aroma, matured in a traditional cellar with over 140 years of history. With excellent cost-performance and a relatively low alcohol content of 32 degrees, it is an ideal daily white liquor, perfectly complementing various dishes including Chinese cuisine, meat, and sashimi.

The manufacturer of Zhuge Liang, Sichuan Jianggu Sun Liquor Industry, is one of the top 10 liquor companies in Sichuan Province. Since launching Zhuge Liang in 1999, it has ranked first in consumer preference in the Guangzhou and Shenzhen regions of China for five consecutive years.
