The 'Saekjojakju Huin 01′ created by Likessum Company won the grand award in the Korean rice wine category at the 2025 Korea Wine & Spirits Awards.
The Korea Wine & Spirits Awards is the representative liquor competition in South Korea, celebrating its 12th year this year. Organized by ChosunBiz since 2014, it aims to 'discover and widely promote good domestic liquor while supporting the formation of a healthy liquor culture.'
This year's event featured 236 companies showcasing a total of 1,008 brands, making it the largest domestic competition dealing with comprehensive liquor. Among them, 431 brands received the grand award.
Saekjojakju embodies the meaning of 'a liquor made by filtering the light of nature' and 'containing the colors of the world in a cup filled to the brim.' The ingredients consist of 100% domestically sourced, using traditional nuruk made from Korean wheat, resulting in a high-alcohol Korean rice wine. No chemical seasonings, artificial additives, or preservatives were added. It is bottled after being fermented and aged at low temperatures for at least 90 days.
