The Korea Wine & Spirits Awards is the country's representative liquor competition, now in its 12th year. ChosunBiz has been holding the event annually since 2014 with the goal of 'discovering and widely promoting good domestic liquor and supporting the formation of a healthy drinking culture.'

This year, 236 companies entered a total of 1,008 brands, making it the largest scale of domestic competitions dealing with general liquors. Among them, 431 brands received the grand award.

Unjeong rice wine has won the grand award for the second consecutive year following 2024. It uses only carefully selected rice from Paju’s Min-dong line, grown in areas that are untouched by contamination, and is milled immediately. It is mellow and smooth in texture due to low-temperature long-term aging.

Buoyed by this award, Unjeong Brewery aims to launch two new premium Korean rice wines in the first half of this year. It plans to release a sparkling beverage characterized by a refreshing taste and a smooth, rich 12-degree high alcoholic beverage.
