According to the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety on the 1st, Lotteria's operating company, Lotteria GRS, received a non-compliance determination during the import customs inspection of shrimp patties produced at a local factory in Vietnam that were to be brought into the country.

The patties contained the antibiotic "doxycycline," exceeding the standard limit. Doxycycline is also used as an animal medicine. This patty is known to be used in Lotteria's "Ria Shrimp" product.

The Ministry of Food and Drug Safety stated that the patties were not imported into the country, and notified the importer to dispose of the non-compliant products.

The Ministry of Food and Drug Safety noted that "if the same products as the non-compliant ones are reported for import, they will conduct precise inspections up to five times in the future," adding, "We will continue to thoroughly conduct inspections of imported foods."
