Agricultural company Jo Eun Sul Sejong Co., Ltd. won the grand award in the spirits and liqueurs category at the 2025 Korea Wine & Spirits Awards with 'IM THE MOON.'
The Korea Wine & Spirits Awards is the nation's leading liquor competition, now in its 12th year. ChosunBiz has been hosting it annually since 2014 with the goal of discovering and promoting quality domestic liquor and supporting the formation of a healthy liquor culture.
This year's event featured 236 companies showcasing a total of 1,008 brands, making it the largest domestic competition dealing with general liquor. Among them, 431 brands received the Daesang.
The liqueur 'IM THE MOON' is made using eco-friendly organic rice and pure native yeast distilled soju 'YIDO' as its base, mixed with domestic apples, grapes, strawberries, and other concentrates like blood orange and mango. According to the representative, these ingredients give it a sweet taste, rich fruity aroma, and a clean, refreshing finish.
The alcohol content of the liqueur 'IM THE MOON' is 17 degrees. When mixed with soda water, it can be enjoyed as a light and tasty highball, and when mixed with high-proof alcohol, it neutralizes sweetness for an atmospheric cocktail. When frozen, it can be enjoyed in a sorbet-like way.
A representative of Jo Eun Sul Sejong Co., Ltd. noted, 'Through this grand award win, we expect to be able to export to more countries abroad beyond Taiwan and Australia, where we are currently exporting.'
