On the 31st, uniform price household goods store Asung Daiso announced that it has donated 1 billion won to aid in the recovery from the devastating wildfires that occurred in the Gyeongsangdo and Ulsan regions.
This relief fund will be delivered through the Korea Red Cross and will be used for the recovery of wildfire-affected areas and support for those displaced.
An official from Asung Daiso noted, "I extend my deepest condolences to those suffering due to the worst wildfires in history," and added, "I pray that the affected areas recover quickly and that everyone can return to their daily lives."
Meanwhile, Asung Daiso has been continuously delivering coal briquettes, kerosene, and happiness boxes to families in the Donggye coal mining village and children's centers, and ahead of Christmas, has donated household goods worth over 500 million won to vulnerable communities.
