LOTTE Wellfood announced on the 28th that its nutrition-enhanced meal replacement snack brand "Comfort Eats Enough" surpassed 2 million units in cumulative sales just 50 days after its launch in February.
"Comfort Eats Enough" was launched with a total of six new products. The representative items include ▲Baked Cookie ▲Toasted Bread ▲Golden Chewy Bar ▲Cube Cake ▲Shake Meal ▲Classic Barley Meal. All products feature whole grains and 100% domestically sourced pressed barley as the main ingredients, with high protein and dietary fiber content while reducing sugars, saturated fats, and sodium.
LOTTE Wellfood launched this product in response to the global trend of "snackification" of meals. According to recent research by the market research organization Euromonitor International, more than 1 in 8 Koreans (13%) reported resolving meals with snacks like chips or chocolate. The company also developed the product in consideration of the growing "slow aging" trend, where consumers are adopting meals comprised of whole grains and vegetables to maintain health and slow physical aging.
Consumer response has generally been positive. Since its release, word-of-mouth feedback has spread across online communities, including social networking services (SNS), with reviews stating, "It's chewy yet moist, delicious, and satisfying," and, "The ingredients are good, refreshing, and sweet, making it easy to eat without hesitation."
A digital advertising video featuring brand model and actress Ko Min-si has sparked significant interest among the 2030 generation, exceeding 10 million cumulative views.
LOTTE Wellfood is actively communicating to promote "Comfort Eats Enough" to more consumers. The company is conducting a sampling promotion at the shared office "Fast Five," where many young professionals are gathered, until the 13th of next month.
Meanwhile, LOTTE Wellfood is strengthening its competitiveness by continuously introducing brands that respond to various demands in the "health and wellness" sector.
A LOTTE Wellfood representative noted, "Comfort Eats Enough has received positive feedback for maintaining the essence of tasty snacks while enhancing satiety and nutritional balance," and added, "We will continue to expand the product lineup to meet consumer needs."
