Shinsegae Group said on the 25th that it will provide 500 million won in donations to support the recovery of communities affected by wildfires.
This donation will be made to the "Hope Bridge National Disaster Relief Association." It will be used for the recovery of wildfire damage areas and assistance for disaster victims.
Along with the donation, they also began to support relief supplies. Shinsegae Group affiliates, including Emart and Emart24, provided daily necessities, hygiene products, and clothing to areas in need of assistance due to the wildfire damage through local governments and relief associations.
Shinsegae Group promptly supported emergency relief supplies to wildfire damage areas through Emart on the 23rd.
Emart donated 100 million won to the Korean Red Cross in February of last year to prepare more than 1,000 emergency relief kits in anticipation of damage from wildfires and heavy rainfall. Among them, 250 households were provided with emergency relief kits worth approximately 25 million won. If local governments request additional supplies, they plan to continue swift support through nearby stores.
On the 24th, Emart24 delivered relief supplies, including masks, beverages, and energy bars, to over 600 people in Gyeongbuk Uiseong County and Gyeongnam Sancheong County in collaboration with the National Disaster Relief Association.
