Kim In-kyu, the representative of HiteJinro, noted on the 21st, “I will realize the strategy for the popularization of Jinro beyond the globalization of soju.”
On that day, Kim said at the 73rd regular shareholders' meeting held at the Maehun Yoon Bong-gil Memorial Hall in Seocho-gu, Seoul, “We plan to strengthen our competitiveness in the global liquor market by using the overseas export factory being built in Vietnam as a stepping stone,” and added, “We will do our best to realize the strategy for the popularization of Jinro beyond the globalization of soju, focusing on expanding overseas sales to grow into a global liquor company that is part of people's daily lives.”
HiteJinro also decided to make this year a year of basic improvement and strengthen its foundation.
Kim said, “This year, I aim to strengthen our foundation through expense reduction and basic improvement and make it a year to prepare for the next 100 years,” adding, “We will maximize efficiency in management and secure financial soundness to solidify our management base.”
Additionally, at the regular shareholders' meeting held that day, it was decided to reappoint Choi Kyung-taek, vice president of HiteJinro, as an inside director.
Yoo Je-cheol, former head of the Central Regional Tax Office, was newly appointed as an outside director, and Lee Eun-kyung, former vice president of Dongyun Industry, was reappointed as the audit committee member.
The approval amount and application amount for the director remuneration limit of 4 billion won each from last year were processed as originally proposed.
