The comprehensive liquor company Campari Korea announced on the 20th that it will support guest bartending by Mel Chavez at the famous bar Nolo! in Seoul.
Mel Chavez is the bar manager of Somma, an Italian cocktail bar in Singapore. He is known for his cocktail styles that reinterpret classic drinks with an original perspective.
Campari Korea evaluated this guest bartending event as a meeting point of the unique bar cultures of Singapore and Seoul. The guest bartending will take place at Nolo from 8 p.m. to 11 p.m. on the 24th.
Mel Chavez will present a new and sensory cocktail tasting experience for domestic consumers with four themes: Smoky, Round, Tropical, and Umami.
Mel Chavez will showcase various cocktails inspired by the unique interpretation of Somma under the theme of "Journey of Flavors" and Nolo's "Drinking Well" philosophy.
Campari is often used as a cocktail ingredient due to its distinctively bitter taste. Since 2016, it has been selected as the number one best-selling brand in the liqueur category for nine consecutive years and also as the top trending brand.
A representative from Campari Korea said, "We are pleased to introduce Asia's top bartender who provides cocktail enthusiasts in Korea with innovative ideas and amazing experiences," and added, "We hope you enjoy a unique tasting experience that challenges limits while retaining classic elements."
