On the 14th, comprehensive liquor company Nihonshu Korea announced that it won a total of five grand awards at the 2025 Korea Wine & Spirits Awards, including the highest award, “Best of 2025,” in the sparkling wine category.
Nihonshu Korea was recognized for its product quality in the champagne, red wine, white wine, sake, and soju institutional sectors at this award ceremony.
In particular, Bonvalet Blanc De Blanc, which is ranked the best in the sparkling wine institutional sector, is characterized by its elegant structure and delicate bubbles.
According to Nihonshu Korea, Bonvalet champagne has been selected as the official champagne of the French Guard, further enhancing its quality and reputation. Bonvalet is gaining attention in the champagne market in a short period through various approaches to differentiate itself from traditional champagne houses.
Experts noted, “This product allows one to experience the quality of authentic French champagne, with excellent structure and finish.”
The product Han Jan Suru? (いっぱいする?), which won a grand award in the sake, soju, and ordinary liquor institutional sector, is an authentic sake produced using traditional Japanese brewing methods. It is characterized by its delicate umami and clean finish, with the subtle sweetness of rice harmonizing with melon and apple aromas. Nihonshu Korea reported that it emphasizes a refreshing acidity when served cold.
Experts evaluated it as “a product with a smooth and clean mouthfeel, enjoyable by both sake beginners and enthusiasts alike.”
Additionally, “Seongdo Insang Panda” won a grand award in the soju (under 50,000 won) institutional sector. This product aims for a smoother style than typical soju, making it accessible for anyone to enjoy.
Nihonshu Korea also received grand awards in the red wine and white wine institutional sectors.
Schuld Riesling, which won a grand award in the white wine (New World under 30,000 won) institutional sector, received an exceptional score of 95 points from world-renowned wine critic James Suckling.
Nihonshu Korea said, “This wine skillfully balances sweetness and acidity, showcasing the vibrant character unique to New Zealand Riesling.”
Château Les Alberts Old Vine, which won a grand award in the red wine (Old World under 30,000 won) institutional sector, is made from grapes harvested from old vines.
