LOTTE Corporation announced on the 14th that it has signed a business agreement to host official events for the 2025 Korea Baseball Organization (KBO) League and establish a cooperation system.
The signing ceremony was attended by Lee Dong-woo, vice chairman and CEO of LOTTE Corporation; Lim Sung-bok, head of the Communication Office; Heo Koo-yeon, KBO president; and Park Geun-chan, KBO secretary-general.
According to the agreement, the four major KBO events, including 'Media Day' (March), 'Rookie Draft' (September), the 'KBO Awards Ceremony' honoring the MVP (Most Valuable Player) and Rookie of the Year (November), and the 'Golden Glove Awards' (December) will be held at LOTTE Hotel World.
LOTTE Corporation and KBO also plan to continue collaborating to expand the base of professional baseball and invigorate the league by planning unique attractions for baseball fans.
Lee Dong-woo, CEO of LOTTE Corporation, said, 'Since the inaugural year of professional baseball, LOTTE has maintained its team name and home base, contributing to the growth of Korean professional baseball,' and added, 'We will not spare efforts at the group level for the development and revitalization of the KBO League.'
Heo Koo-yeon, KBO president, said, 'We will successfully host various events in cooperation with LOTTE Corporation and provide fans with a better event viewing environment.'
