It was found that Jeong Yoo-kyung, chairman of Shinsegae, received approximately 3.6 billion won in compensation last year.

According to Shinsegae's business report on the 13th, Chairman Jeong received a salary of 1.975 billion won and a bonus of 1.6021 billion won, totaling 3.596 billion won.

Chairman Jeong's annual salary decreased by 2.44% from the previous year, as the bonus amount slightly decreased.

Chairman Jeong's mother, Lee Myung-hee, chairperson of Shinsegae Group, and his father, Jeong Jae-eun, honorary chairman of Shinsegae Group, each received 1.264 billion won in compensation.

Meanwhile, last year, Park Joo-hyung, CEO of Shinsegae, received 1.515 billion won, Kim Sun-jin, vice president and manager of Shinsegae Department Store Gangnam Branch, received 996 million won, and Hong Seung-o, head of Shinsegae's Financial Management Department, received 856 million won.

This is a decrease of 2.44% compared to last year's annual salary of 3.686 billion won.

Meanwhile, Lee Boo-jin, another female executive of the Samsung family and president of Hotel Shilla, received 1.711 billion won in compensation last year. She received 1.366 billion won in salary, 341 million won in bonuses, and 4 million won in other earned income. In comparison based on total compensation, it decreased by about 26% from 2.313 billion won in 2023.

Hotel Shilla recorded an operating loss of 5.184 billion won last year due to poor performance in its duty-free business, resulting in a shift to a deficit. Consequently, performance incentives were somewhat reduced.

Additionally, Han In-kyu, president of Hotel Shilla, received a total compensation of 1.071 billion won last year, which included a salary of 851 million won, a bonus of 154 million won, and other earned income of 66 million won. Kim Young-hoon, vice president, received 1.084 billion won.
