Comprehensive liquor company Keumyang International announced on the 11th that six products received awards at the 2025 Korea Wine & Spirits Awards.
This year, Keumyang International has shown strength across various categories, from the highly popular New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc to traditional heavyweights among New World and Old World red wines.
Among the "national golf wine" 1865 brand, "1865 Master Blend" received the grand award. The "1865 Master Blend" is a wine made by blending Syrah, Malbec, and Cabernet Sauvignon. It is produced from grapes selected from the vineyard where the winemaker has carefully chosen the best grapes among the 1865 vineyards. Keumyang International noted that it boasts flavors and aromas preferred by Koreans and pairs well with Korean cuisine.
The Italian wine brand Cinquanta, which caused a sell-out frenzy in the domestic market, received the Daesang award for its premium wine "Cinquanta Black Edition" and this year's release "Cinquantina." Cinquantina is a line that increases the Primitivo content compared to the regular Cinquanta. These Cinquanta brand wines showed their might, selling out within a month of their release.
The New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc "Rapaura Springs, Rohe Blind River Sauvignon Blanc," which is rapidly gaining popularity, distinctly showcases the characteristics of the Blind River region in Marlborough, New Zealand. Blind River is the coldest and windiest sub-region of Marlborough's southern coast. The grapes grown in this region withstand harsh climatic conditions, imparting a resilient character. The 2023 vintage received a score of 90 from renowned wine critic James Suckling.
The largest 100% organic winery in the U.S., Shannon Family, received the grand award for its "Clay Shannon Cabernet Sauvignon." Clay Shannon is a wine that uses only Cabernet Sauvignon, delivering lingering flavors of rich dark fruits such as raspberry and cherry.
The Italian wine symbolizing value for money, "Le Cupole," is made by blending Cabernet Franc, Merlot, and Cabernet Sauvignon. This wine is a sibling to Tenuta di Trinoro, which symbolizes the Vini Fragheti winery, and it undergoes the same winemaking process. It consistently exudes the aroma of ripe fruits and herbs.
Keumyang International stated, "This serves as proof of our commitment to providing high-quality wine to domestic consumers, and in the future, we will offer a diverse portfolio to provide wine enthusiasts with abundant choices that lead the wine market."
The award-winning wines from Keumyang International can be found across department stores, discount stores, and wine shops nationwide.
