GS Retail's convenience store GS25 announced on the 10th that it will expand its cost-effective private brand (PB) products.
The products being introduced this time include 1400 pet coffee and Cheonnang sprouts. According to GS25, development was carried out in a way that sets the selling price as the lowest in the same product category to enhance competitiveness in quality and taste.
1400 pet coffee is the lowest-priced product among the 500㎖ pet coffee products sold at GS25. The price is 50% cheaper compared to existing products. Cheonnang sprouts (300g) are the second installment of the 1000 won sprout series following Cheonnang bean sprouts (300g). Due to the popularity of 'Cheonnang bean sprouts 300g,' which sold 250,000 units cumulatively as the first installment, 'Cheonnang sprouts 300g' will be launched as an additional lineup.
GS25 is also conducting a special promotion selling two types of Real Mecca Tong Tong sausages, with the weight increased from 180g to 250g, at the existing price.
Yu Jae-hyung, MD (merchandiser) of the food and beverage team at GS Retail, noted, 'High cost-effective products contribute to price stability while serving as strategic products that drive category growth' and said, 'We plan to continue focusing on developing products that maximize price competitiveness.'
