Shin Dong-bin, chairman of the Lotte Group, will return as a registered director of Lotte Shopping after five years.
According to a public notice from Lotte Shopping on the 7th, an agenda item will be presented to appoint Chairman Shin as an inside director at the regular shareholders' meeting scheduled for the 24th on the 6th floor of Lotte Mart Max in Yeongdeungpo, Seoul. It has been five years since he stepped down from the inside director position at Lotte Shopping in March 2020.
Currently, Chairman Shin is serving as an inside director for four companies: LOTTE Corporation, LOTTE Chemical, LOTTE Wellfood, and LOTTE Chilsung Beverage. Among them, he is not expected to be reappointed as an inside director of LOTTE Chilsung.
A Lotte official noted, "As the institutional sector of distribution is a pillar of the group, we aim to strengthen responsible management."
