Musinsa announced on the 3rd that it will open the sixth location of its fashion-specialized shared office, "Musinsa Studio," in Dongdaemun, the center of the fashion industry in Seoul.
Located on the 4th floor of buildings A and C in the Dongdaemun Market, Musinsa Studio spans 4,628 square meters (about 1,400 pyeong) and features 200 office rooms ranging from single-occupancy to 25-person offices, as well as meeting rooms, a mail room, and telephone booths.
The sewing room is equipped with sewing machines, overlock machines, and irons, allowing designers to carry out immediate sample production and modifications. The workroom, where products scheduled for sale can be inspected or patterns modified, has 17 work tables available.
Musinsa believes that collaboration with fabric and material suppliers within the Dongdaemun Market will facilitate synergy effects.
Musinsa has been operating Musinsa Studio since 2018 to activate the ecosystem of small and medium-sized fashion brands in Korea. The aim is to help reduce the time and expense required in the distribution process to enhance brand competitiveness.
Since the first location opened in Dongdaemun, the number of tenant corporations has grown to over 270, with expansions to Hannam (two locations), Seongsu, and Sindang.
A Musinsa representative noted, "Dongdaemun, where fashion manufacturing and distribution happen in real time, is an important fashion hub for not only domestic designer brands but also overseas corporations and buyers," and added, "We will support small corporations to operate efficiently based on Musinsa's experience and know-how."
