E-Land Retail announced on the 26th that it will present the fashion brand "NC Basic" as a distribution-type SPA (manufacturing and distribution integrated) model.
It plans to strengthen the existing price competitiveness of NC Basic while expanding its categories and store sizes to actively target the distribution-type SPA market.
NC Basic, which launched in September 2023, will renew and open its first model store on the 1st of next month on the first floor of NC Songpa, covering an area of 198 square meters.
With a focus on "Urban Basic Wear," it will expand the range of clothing items and establish categories for innerwear, lounge wear, and accessories, showcasing a total of over 130 products.
The distribution-type SPA presented by E-Land Retail features fashion brand products that are planned and produced in-house by retailers, providing a differentiated price competitiveness in their distribution network.
E-Land Retail operates more than 30 women’s, men’s, children’s, and casual brands through its fashion corporation and has been planning and producing clothing in-house via overseas sourcing corporations and its own factories.
Although clothing prices are reasonable, the materials directly related to quality have been diversified through overseas sourcing.
Global fabric sourcing experts have been seeking out A-grade fabric suppliers in South Korea, along with Shanghai and Guangzhou in China, Vietnam, Bangladesh, and India, managing everything from yarn production to post-processing.
The "premium linen shirts" and "premium linen pants" launching in the 25SS (spring-summer) season are representative examples.
Shirts made from a blend of 100% European linen with cotton and viscose were completed to minimize wrinkles. To this end, E-Land selected over 20 A-grade fabric suppliers dealing exclusively with European linen as partners and developed fabrics in collaboration with them at E-Land's Indian production subsidiary (ELAND APPAREL LTD).
NC Basic increased its price competitiveness by offering about 80% of its total products under 30,000 won.
Among these, the best seller is denim. The prices for a wide range of fits including straight, tapered, and bootcut jeans are set at 19,900 won and 29,900 won, which is about half the price of local and global SPA brand jeans, with last year's cumulative sales reaching 150,000 units.
