According to Baedal Minjok on the same day, the robot delivery service will offer shopping and grocery services centered around the B Mart urban distribution center (Pick Packing Center·PPC) in the Gangnam area.

The delivery robot "DILLI" being deployed this time consists of a total of four units and completes deliveries within 30 minutes in a 1.5 km radius of B Mart PPC. After May, the delivery range will be expanded to more than 1,000 buildings, and additional robots will be deployed as needed based on the order volume and area expansion.

The robot delivery service can be used on weekdays from 2 p.m. to 9 p.m. It operates unmanned without the presence of operational staff. Baemin has advanced its autonomous driving capabilities based on self-driving data accumulated over several years in the Teheran-ro area of Gangnam and Bangi-dong in Songpa.

DILLI can carry items weighing up to 20 kg and operates at a speed similar to that of a person walking quickly. It is rated IP54 for dust and water resistance, allowing for normal operation except during severe weather.

Using camera and laser visual detection and ranging technology called LiDAR, it can quickly recognize nearby objects and obstacles, and is equipped with advanced safety driving algorithms to prepare for sudden collisions. It enhances visual awareness by outfitting the robot with flags and reflectors and slows down when pedestrian and obstacle density is high.

Hwang Hyun-kyu, head of the robot product strategy team at Woowa Brothers, noted, "We plan to enhance customer delivery convenience by deploying our self-developed delivery robot in the rapidly growing quick commerce market while further advancing our robotics technology and services."
