Lotte Mart and Super announced on the 14th that they will sponsor the first Korea Ski and Snowboard Association President's Cup National Ski Competition, which will be held on the 15th.
This competition will be held at Yongpyong Resort in Pyeongchang, Gangwon Province, and will take place in 6 institutional sectors based on grade for elementary school students. The competition event is the 'giant slalom,' one of the alpine skiing events, and 96 athletes are expected to participate.
Lotte Mart and Super participated in sponsoring this competition to help the development of snow sports and nurture young skiers.
Lotte Mart and Super will provide not only prize money for the awards ceremony but also discount coupon packs that can be used at offline stores for participants, along with their private brand (PB) snack products named 'Onuljoheun.'
They will also provide warm tea and snacks to spectators. Lotte Mart and Super have set up an 'Onuljoheun booth' on one side of the venue and prepared 11 items, including 'Onuljoheun almond walnut mugwort tea' and 'Onuljoheun honey lemon tea.'
A representative from Lotte Mart and Super noted, 'We are sponsoring to help promising athletes who aim to pursue their dreams as athletes in a less popular sport like skiing,' adding, 'We will continue to support various sports events to ensure the overall development of the sports industry.'
