Shinsegae Group's e-commerce platform SSG.com announced on the 6th that it will begin early morning delivery services in Busan.
The early morning delivery range has expanded beyond the metropolitan and Chungcheong regions to the Yeongnam region.
Customers of SSG.com residing in the Busan area can receive their products by 7 a.m. the next day if they place their orders before 10 p.m. SSG.com will start accepting orders from the 7th and begin deliveries on the 8th.
Delivery will utilize the logistics infrastructure and vehicles of CJ Logistics. Products will be packaged in recyclable cardboard boxes. Fresh products, including refrigerated and frozen goods, will be kept at the appropriate temperature in separate pouches along with insulation materials. Most fresh products are covered by the "fresh guarantee system," SSG.com's quality assurance service for fresh products.
Customers who feel that the quality of early morning delivery products has declined can post product photos and receive a refund without conditions.
Additionally, from the 7th to the 6th of next month, if products ordered by customers in the Busan area do not arrive by 7 a.m., up to 100,000 won will be fully refunded in SSG Money. There will also be purchasing benefits such as discounts of up to 50% on grocery items, free delivery coupons, and a gift of 10 eggs.
SSG.com has been working to expand the service area in response to the demand for early morning deliveries in local regions. In the case of the southern Gyeonggi and Chungcheong regions, where services started on the 5th of last month, early morning delivery sales increased by 80% compared to the previous month over the 20-day period until the 25th of the same month. Overall early morning delivery sales during that period also rose by 20%.
This year, SSG.com plans to continue expanding service areas, focusing on metropolitan cities with high demand for early morning deliveries in partnership with CJ Logistics. It aims to introduce new early morning delivery services in Daegu as early as the end of this month. SSG.com expects that the expansion of service areas will lead to a significant increase in grocery sales.
