Shinsegae International noted on the 3rd that its brand, Jaju, will collaborate with Chef Kim Tae-sung, known for being a 'hidden genius,' who appeared in the Netflix original entertainment program 'Cooking Master: The Culinary Class War' throughout February. Chef Kim gained attention for his aglio e olio pasta dish on the show.
Jaju provided tableware to Chef Kim's Italian restaurant 'Pono Buono,' allowing customers to experience the products directly and explore various uses. Pono Buono is located near Dosan Park in Gangnam-gu.
Chef Kim plans to offer a special menu developed using Jaju's traditional snacks for a limited time this month. Various designs of trays, such as the new 'Seolgi' series inspired by Baekseolgi and the 'Dami' series, which is a modern reinterpretation of traditional Korean architecture, will be showcased at Pono Buono.
In particular, the rice bowl from the Seolgi series will be used as a dessert bowl at Pono Buono, while the side dishes will serve as cheese plate dishes. The cooking bowl will be used for various pastas, appetizers, and salads. One of the popular items from the Seolgi series, the 'Seolgi oval plate,' will present Pono bread, a signature menu item, to customers. The Dami plate is expected to hold main dishes like steak and grilled fish.
Until the end of this month, Jaju will offer a special reward of 10% in points on the purchase amount for products collaborated with Chef Kim. Customers who visit Pono Buono during the promotion period will also receive traditional snacks from Jaju randomly.
