The wine specialist company Kumyang International announced on the 22nd that it has exclusively launched a reinterpretation of its popular product, Shinquanta, tailored to Korean consumer preferences, named Shinquitina.

Shinquitina is produced at the San Marzano winery, representative of the Apulia region in southern Italy. It is made by blending the Primitivo and Negroamaro grape varieties from the Salento region.

According to Kumyang International, Shinquitina has increased the proportion of Primitivo compared to the original Shinquanta, emphasizing fresh fruit aromas and balanced acidity. The fruit scents reminiscent of cherry, strawberry, and black plum come across as fresh, while spicy tannins, spices, and herbal nuances stimulate the palate in a refreshing way, offering a lively finish distinct from Shinquanta, Kumyang International noted.

Previously, Shinquanta experienced over 50% sales growth domestically last year. This wine, which served as the inspiration for Shinquitina, was created to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the San Marzano winery's establishment. The name Shinquanta means 50 in Italian.

The brand manager of Kumyang International said, 'According to import liquor data, while the value and volume of Italian wine imports have decreased, sales of Shinquanta products have steadily increased,' adding, 'We plan to focus on establishing Shinquanta as a brand and building its image.'

Shinquitina can be found at department stores, discount stores, and other locations nationwide.
