Shinsegae Simon announced on the 16th that it has signed a partnership agreement with the mobility platform SOCAR to create "a mutual marketing synergy."
The two companies plan to cooperate to enhance customer accessibility to Shinsegae Premium Outlets.
Through this, they aim to attract customers aged 20 to 30, who have a lower ownership rate of personal cars and a higher frequency of using car-sharing services, compared to their main customer base of those in their 40s and 50s.
Service benefits under the agreement will be provided starting from the 24th, coinciding with the Lunar New Year holiday.
By receiving coupons on the Shinsegae Simon partnership event page of the SOCAR application (app), customers who make reservations for more than 10 hours at Shinsegae Simon shopping centers in Gyeonggi Province and Busan will receive a 55% discount on lending fees. The discount rate for the Jeju area is 50%.
Additionally, customers visiting the store via SOCAR will receive free beverage coupons and a coupon pack usable at food and beverage (F&B) stores. The membership level will also be raised to Silver, one tier higher than regular member customers.
Earlier, the two companies had conducted a pilot promotion targeting the MZ generation (born from the early 1980s to the early 2000s) using SOCAR at the Paju Premium Outlets in the second half of last year.
As a result, an average of about 800 SOCAR vehicles visited the outlets each month, and the number of visits by membership customers in their 20s and 30s increased by over 6%, according to Shinsegae Simon.
The two companies plan to invest efforts in attracting foreign individual tourists in the medium to long term.
